2014 a Year in Review

So 2014 was one of our most productive years to date. With so much going on in the gaming world we had a lot to do. So we are going to take a moment to look at what we did in 2014 and what we are looking forward to doing in 2015.

Our website in 2014 has exploded with traffic up over 300% from the year to date prior. And with averaging a new post a week we hope to keep up with the content. Our Google+ group has soared to over 40 members and we have even expanded to Facebook this year.

This year we focused a lot on Warhammer 40,000, Games Workshop has been releasing new content and models at an impressive rate. And with that we followed suit. We saw the release of 7th edition followed that up with our own guideline for tournament rules. We held three tournaments, one league and our second annual Kill Team Meet and Greet with close cooperation with Recess Games. We have done reviews from models to codices and made some predictions that came true.

That sounds like all well and good but when we looked back at this year we thought that we were missing something, and to be honest we were missing other games. And with that we were missing other opportunities on some great games.

So this coming year we are going to put some emphasis on a few other games, sure we will still have Warhammer 40,000, but we give some other games a whirl. If Warhammer 40,000 is the 800 pound gorilla in the room then Privateer Press is the 250 pound troll, with a keg of gun powder. And with that we are going to put together some informal events for Warmachine and Hordes. We are also going to go deeper in to X-Wing Fighter, this game is a blast to play and is a shame to overlook. Lastly we are going to dive a bit in to the Horus Hersey, with the focus we did this past year on Warhammer 40,000 it seems a bit right to see what the game was like 10,000 years prior.

Expect some good changes going forward in 2015 and we hope you can join us.

Keep up-to-date with what is going on in the wargaming either locally here in Cleveland Ohio or around the world. You can bookmark us at, follow us on TwitterFacebook or Google+.
