7th Edition Codex Necrons Rule Review

In this latest post I'm going to go over the newest version of the necron codex. I'm not going to go into the fluff or artwork in this review. I'm just going to focus on the general changes to the rules for the various units, if they got better or worse, and if I would personally use them. I've personally played a good 70 or more games with the previous codex, thus my opinion is coming from the perspective of someone that had the old codex mostly memorized.

Finding The "It" That Attracts Us To Gaming

Burning River Battalion
As of the writing of this, I have just finished prepping a new forge world miniature that arrived in the mail today. As a matter of fact I acquired a number of new forge world goodies but one in particular got me thinking. To be honest the miniature that inspired me to write this article is surprising because it wasn't the one I was most excited to get. The miniature I have been eagerly awaiting is the hq unit for my work in progress Mechanicum army. The Magos Dominus miniature as seen here is the one I'm specifically talking about.

Starting The Horus Hersey Part One

Horus Heresy Book One Betrayal
So a while back one of our contributors wrote up if Forge World and the Horus Heresy, Is it for You?. And that is a huge commitment for any gamer to undertake. The cost at first looks intimidating and that combined with what looks like a whole new game this looks daunting. But we are starting The Horus Heresy this is the first part of a multiple post series on doing that.

A Review of Horus Heresy Book 4 Conquest Part 1

I was fortunate to get a very nice Christmas gift in the form of the newest Horus heresy book from forge world, book 4 conquest. The one I got is actually the special or limited edition that came with a slip cover and a few extra goodies. I am not particularly huge on Limited edition books from Games Workshop, but in this instance I do love the slip cover it comes with as it matches the slip cover that I have for the first 3 books in the series I own. Beyond that though, I plan on going over the contents of said book in 2 parts. Part 1 is going to cover the physical book itself, artwork, and the background information/fluff. In part 2 I will go over the actual rule stuff for the game. So if you're strictly interested in the gaming material then you have my permission to stop reading and wait for part 2.
